At the option of the members appointed by the Council with the consent of the majority of members of the City Council, the members who are appointed by the school boards and other taxing districts may serve on the Commission for a term to coincide with the length of time a redevelopment project, redevelopment plan or designation of a redevelopment area is considered for approval by the Commission, or for a definitive term pursuant to Subdivision 2 of Section 99.820 of the Missouri Revised Statutes (1994), as amended.
