GENERAL REFERENCES

A. 
Time limits. The docking of boats, yachts or other floating craft anywhere within the Village of Scotia docks along Freedom Park for more than three consecutive days in a one-week period is prohibited.
B. 
Fees. Any boat, yacht or other floating craft docked within the Village of Scotia docks along Freedom Park overnight shall pay the posted fee as determined by the Board of Trustees for overnight docking.
A. 
Impounding. When any boat, yacht or other floating craft located within the Village of Scotia docks along Freedom Park is in violation of this chapter, said boat, yacht or other floating craft may be removed by or under the direction of the Police Department.
B. 
Storage and charges. After removal of any boat, yacht or floating craft as provided in this section, the Police Department may store or cause such boat, yacht or floating craft to be stored in a suitable place at the expense of the owner. Such owner or person in charge of the boat, yacht or floating craft may redeem the same upon payment to the person with whom stored of the amount of all expenses actually and necessarily incurred in effecting such removal and storage.
C. 
Notice of removal. It shall be the duty of the Police Department to ascertain to the extent possible the owner of the boat, yacht or floating craft or the person having the same in charge and to notify him of the removal and disposition of such vehicle and of the amount which will be required to redeem same. Said Department shall also, without delay, report to the Village Clerk-Treasurer the removal and disposition of any vehicle removed as provided in this section.
Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable by a fine of not more than $250 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or both. Each day that a violation continues shall be deemed a separate offense.
