The bond to be given by the Borough Tax Collector to the Borough
of Buena for the faithful performance of his duties shall be the bond
of a responsible surety company in the sum of $31,000. The Council
may at any time require a like bond for an additional amount in its
discretion.

It shall be the duty of the Tax Collector of the Borough to collect
all general, special and improvement taxes or assessments levied or
imposed upon the assessable property within the Borough as soon as
the certified duplicate of any assessment is delivered to him by the
Borough Assessor, and he shall act as Treasurer of the Borough. He
shall collect, have, hold and receive all moneys assessed or raised
by taxation or assessment for any purpose within the Borough and all
fees for licenses, fines, penalties and other moneys belonging to
the Borough.

He shall enter in suitable books to be kept for the purpose all sums
received by him each day for taxes or other purposes and keep a record
and account of the finances of the Borough.

He shall render a true and full account of all moneys collected by
him as such Collector and of all payments made by him out of said
moneys, and for what purpose paid, and shall, when required by resolution
of said Council, deposit, in any bank designated by it, all moneys
then in his hands or thereafter collected or received by him for any
purpose in the name of the Borough of Buena, subject only to drafts
thereon, to be signed by the Mayor, attested by the Borough Clerk
and countersigned by the Collector, and do any and all other things
required of him by law.

The Tax Collector may employ an assistant or assistants to aid him
in the performance of his duty as such Collector, the remuneration
of such assistants to be paid by said Tax Collector.
