GENERAL REFERENCES

This chapter shall be known as the "Parks and Playground Ordinance."
Such regulations are deemed necessary to protect the character, stability, cleanliness and safety of public property and persons utilizing playgrounds, parks, structures on public parks and recreation areas within the Borough of Wood-Ridge, New Jersey.
A. 
Unless the context otherwise indicates, the following definitions shall be used in the interpretation and construction of this chapter:
PARKS, PLAYGROUNDS and RECREATION AREAS
Includes any publicly owned lands used, intended to be used and/or designated as a park, playground, recreation or amusement area for public use.
PERSON
Includes a corporation as well as an individual.
B. 
Words used in the present tense include the future; the singular number shall include the plural, and the plural the singular; and the word "structure" shall include the word "building."
A. 
Parks, recreation areas, playgrounds and structures on public parks shall be open to the public use between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and dusk only.

B. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to violate hours of use as set forth herein.
A. 
No person shall enter upon any portion of the lawn or ground within a public park or other public place when notified by a sign placed in such a park or public place or by a guardian of such a park or public place or by a police officer not to enter upon such lawn or ground.
B. 
No person shall leave or deposit any paper or other waste material in any public park except in such receptacles as may be provided therein for that purpose.
C. 
No person shall, except at such time and under such regulations as may be designated by the Shade Tree Commission, play at any game in a public park.
D. 
No person shall, without a permit, place any booth, stand or other structure or station wagon, car or other vehicle in any public park except in the area prescribed.
E. 
No person shall offer any article for sale, display any advertising device or distribute any commercial circulars or cards of political activity and/or signs in a public park.
