Interest at the rate of 10% per year shall be imposed and collectible
on all municipal claims from the date of completion of the work after
it is filed as a lien.
Interest at the rate of 10% per year shall be imposed and collectible
on all claims for taxes, water rents or rates, streetlighting rates
and/or sewer rents or rates. Interest shall accrue upon real estate
taxes from January 1 of the year following that for which said taxes
were assessed. Interest shall accrue upon realty transfer and all
other taxes from the date of the transaction giving rise to the tax
obligation where all tax due has not been paid within 30 days thereafter.
Interest shall accrue on all claims for water rents or rates, streetlighting
rates and/or sewer rents or rates from the date of assessment to the
extent said claims are not paid in full by the date set forth in such
assessment.
Interest at the rate of 10% per year shall be imposed and collectible
on all claims and amounts due to Millcreek Township under contracts
and agreements with any party. Absent a contrary provision in such
contract or agreement, interest shall accrue from the date such sums
are due to the Township.
Pursuant to 53 P.S. § 7143, as may in the future be
amended, where municipal claims are filed arising out of a municipal
project which required the Township to issue bonds or guarantee payment
of bonds issued by an Authority to finance the project, interest shall
be collectible on such claims at the rate of interest of the bond
issue if the same is greater than 10% and not in excess of 12% per
year and otherwise at 10% per year.
