The Board of Aldermen hereby adopts the 2017 National Fire Protection (NFPA) 70 National Electric Code (NEC), as if spelled out herein, save and except such portions thereof as are hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended, for the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for the design, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of electrical systems in the City of Ozark. A copy of said code is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Ozark, Missouri.

A. 
The 2017 National Fire Protection (NEPA) 70 National Electric Code (NEC), as adopted, is hereby amended and changed as follows:
1. 
Delete Subsection 230.70(A)(1) in its entirety and insert, in lieu thereof, the following language: 230.70(A)(1) The new service disconnecting means shall be installed at a readily accessible location outside of the building at or near the electrical provider's equipment meter base.
2. 
Delete Article 406 Section 406.12 in its entirety.
