The City of Pacific, a Missouri Political Subdivision provides benefits for certain employees of the City of Pacific in the Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System, authorizing any required deductions from wages and salaries of those employees and authorizing payment of required employer contributions.

A. 
The City of Pacific, Missouri, is a political subdivision as defined in Sections 70.600 through 70.755, RSMo., 1978, as amended and hereby elects to have covered by the Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System all its eligible employees with one thousand five hundred (1,500) or more hours of annual employment and to cover under Benefit Program L-6 (two percent (2%)) such employees of the following classes:
1. 
Present and future general employees (neither Policemen nor Firemen as defined by Section 70.600, RSMo., 1978, as amended).
2. 
Present and future Policemen as defined by Section 70.600, RSMo., 1978, as amended.
B. 
To adopt no change in the retirement age provision of member employees, keeping member employees option of retirement under the "80 and Out" option (member employee attains age and years of credited service in force [minimum of five (5) years credited service] which total eighty (80) or more) in accordance with Sections 70.600, 70.645 and 70.646, RSMo. (2000).
C. 
To adopt no change in the contributions from covered employees, keeping the requirement of no contributions from covered employees in accordance with the provisions of Sections 70.705 and 70.730, RSMo. (2000).
D. 
To adopt no change in the method of determining a member employee's final average salary, keeping a sixty (60) consecutive month period for determining a member employee's final average salary in accordance with Sections 70.600 and 70.656, RSMo. (2000).

The City of Pacific, hereby elects that one hundred percent (100%) of prior employment be considered for prior service credit in computing benefits and contributions to the system and to require no contributions from covered employees.

The City of Pacific further elects to have the "final average salary" of its employee members determined over a sixty (60) consecutive month period.

The City Clerk of the City of Pacific is hereby authorized and directed to deduct from the wages and salaries of each employee member, the member contributions if any required by Section 70.705 RSMo., and to promptly remit the deductions to the retirement system together with the employer contributions required by Section 70.705 and Section 70.730 RSMo., 1978, as amended.

Contributions are to be effective July 1, 2001.
