The clerk of the circuit court, the attorney for the Commonwealth,
the treasurer, the commissioner of the revenue, the city sheriff and
such other elective officers as may by [be] required by the Constitution
and statute laws of the Commonwealth, shall be elected in the manner
prescribed by law and shall perform such duties and receive such compensation
as prescribed by law.
