A certain document, one (1) copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, being marked and designated as the International Fire Code, 2018 Edition, as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the Fire Code of the City of Poplar Bluff, in the State of Missouri, for establishing minimum requirements for fire prevention and fire protection systems; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Fire Code on file in the office of the City Clerk are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this Article, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in Section 500.081 of this Article.

The following Sections of the International Fire Code, 2018 Edition, are hereby revised as follows:
1. 
Section 101.1: City of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
2. 
Section 110.4: Ordinance Violation; $500.00; 90 days.
3. 
Section 112.4: $0.00; $500.00.
4. 
Section 1103.5.3: January 1, 2020.
5. 
Section 5704.2.9.6.1: Per State of Missouri regulations.
6. 
Section 5706.2.4.4: Per State of Missouri regulations.
7. 
Section 5806.2: Per State of Missouri regulations.
8. 
Section 6104.2: Per the International Fuel Gas Code.
9. 
Delete Appendix A and replace with Chapter 405, Article VI, Section 405.330, Board of Adjustment of the City of Poplar Bluff Code of Ordinances.
10. 
Adopt Appendix B, C, D, F, I, J, and L.
Any person who shall violate a provision of the code adopted in this Article or shall fail to comply with any of the requirements thereof or who shall erect, construct, alter or repair a building or structure in violation of an approved plan of or directive of the Code Official, or of a permit or certificate issued under the provision of this code, shall be guilty of an ordinance violation, punishable by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or by imprisonment not exceeding ninety (90) days, or both such fine and imprisonment. Each day that a violation continues after due notice has been served shall be deemed a separate offense.
