City of Taunton, MA Article IV Historical Commission

[Adopted 5-2-1972 (Ch. 10, Art. I, of the 2010 Code)]

§ 10-21 Membership; appointment. [1]

There shall be an Historical Commission consisting of seven members who shall serve without compensation and be appointed by the Mayor as provided for in MGL c. 40, § 8D, as amended.

§ 10-22 Chairperson.

The Historical Commission shall elect its own Chairperson.

§ 10-23 Powers and duties.

The Historical Commission shall have all the powers, authority, rights, duties and obligations prescribed in MGL c. 40, § 8D, as amended, and its members shall be appointed, serve, and be removed all in accordance with said MGL c. 40, § 8D, as amended.
