City of Taunton, MA Article IV Facilities for Treatment, Storage or Disposal of Wastes

§ 420-14 Facilities prohibited; exceptions.

Excepting facilities specifically provided for by MGL c. 40A, § 9, and private facilities located on land owned by the City of Taunton and facilities that the City of Taunton owns and/or operates, no facility shall be constructed, maintained and/or operated within the City of Taunton for the treatment, processing, disposal, destruction, and/or storage, whether temporary or otherwise, of solid waste, sewage, septage, sludge, waste, garbage, trash or other refuse.

§ 420-15 Limitations.

Any facility not owned or operated by the City nor located on land owned by the City shall be restricted to the treatment, processing, disposal, destruction and/or storage, whether temporary or otherwise, of solid waste, sewage, septage, sludge, waste, garbage, and trash originating within the City.
