A. The
Mayor and the Board of Aldermen realizing there is a need to have
a record retention schedule to maintain permanent records and the
need to destroy unnecessary records, when no longer needed or required
to be retained for the City of Truesdale, therefore the City of Truesdale's
record retention schedule will be based on the schedule as set by
the Secretary of State of the State of Missouri unless longer retention
requirement is mandated by other State and Federal Statutes and regulations.
B. A permanent
record will be kept on the disposition of records and shall include
the description and quantity of each record series disposed of, manner
of destruction, inclusive dates covered and the date on which destruction
was completed.
