A.
It shall be the duty of the City Clerk, in addition to other duties prescribed by ordinance, to attend all meetings of the City Council, unless otherwise specified by the City Council and/or City Administrator, and to make and preserve in proper book or books suitable therefore a complete record of the proceedings of the Council.
B.
The City Clerk shall have the custody of the City Seal, the public records of the City, the original roll of ordinances and resolutions of the Council, all official bonds and all other books, papers and documents as are by law or ordinance required to be kept preserved and filed with the City or left in his/her custody. He/she shall affix the Seal of the City to all public documents or official acts of the Mayor and shall countersign all such documents and shall carefully make a record of all ordinances adopted by the Council in a book known as the ordinance book of the City and shall from time to time produce and furnish copies of documents or ordinances to City Officials as may be needed in their official capacity.
C.
He/she shall prepare all commissions and other official documents which the Mayor is required to issue and countersign and affix the official Seal thereto and shall keep a record of all such documents.
D.
The City Clerk shall cause the proceedings of the City Council and ordinances of the City to be published as required by the City Charter or any ordinance or resolution of the Council and shall superintend the printing thereof.
