The Watertown Farmers Market, which occurs within the corporate
City limits of the City of Watertown on each Tuesday of each month
between May and November, shall be administered by the Watertown Area
Chamber of Commerce. Subject to the following restrictions, the operation
and promotion of the event, including the establishment of rules and
regulations governing the vendors, the location of the vendors' leased
stalls, and appropriate fees, are delegated to the Chamber of Commerce,
which shall retain all revenues that it generates.
A. Location of farmers market. The farmers market may be held within the border of Riverside Park, as defined at § 428-15 of Article
IV of this chapter. A person who has leased space shall not place any merchandise outside of the limits of the stall assigned by the Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce and must stay within the perimeter of his leased area. Sale of merchandise by any firm or person at the farmers market other than within the confines of leased stalls as mentioned hereinabove is prohibited.
B. Sale of livestock. No person shall offer for sale, barter, trade
or give away any animals at the farmers market.
Any person who shall violate any provision of this article shall be subject to a penalty as provided in §
1-4 of this Code. Each violation and each day a violation continues or occurs shall constitute a separate offense. This action shall not preclude the City from maintaining any appropriate action to prevent or remove a violation of this article.
