The existing waterworks and the proposed sewerage system of the City of Rogersville, Missouri, and all future improvements and extensions thereto, whether to the waterworks or to the sewerage system or to both, shall be and the same are hereby combined and thenceforth shall be operated and maintained as a combined waterworks and sewerage system.

A. 
The City of Rogersville shall impose a charge of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for each check received by the City for payment of any service, fee, fine, license, permit, Municipal Court payment, tax or any other payment to the City by check which is subsequently returned unpaid to the City.
B. 
The twenty-five dollar ($25.00) returned check fee must be paid by cash, money order or credit card to the City prior to close of the business day the returned check is received. Non-payment of the unpaid check for utilities will result in disconnection of City utilities. Any and all charges imposed shall be due prior to reconnection and shall become an obligation of said payor.
C. 
Amounts due for City services, fees, fines, licenses, permits, Municipal Court payments, taxes or any other payment to the City by check which is returned unpaid to the City is a legal obligation of said payor in addition to the twenty-five dollar ($25.00) returned check fee.
D. 
The City Clerk shall give notice of this Section to the general public by posting copies of the same in City Hall, on the City website and by publishing the information therein in a newspaper of general circulation in Rogersville, Missouri.
