A. 
Every application for issuance or renewal of a license or permit required in the Town of Lawrence shall be made upon a form furnished by the Town Clerk/Treasurer. The Town Clerk/Treasurer is to verify information provided on the application.
B. 
The publication fee, if any, shall be paid to the Clerk/Treasurer at the time of filing such application. No initial license or permit fee shall be refunded unless the granting of the license or permit is denied.
A. 
A license or permit, when granted, shall be issued by the Town Clerk/Treasurer and shall state the date thereof, the day it shall be in force, the name and place of business of the person to whom it is issued, the particular purpose and the time period for which issued, and the amount of the license or permit fee paid.[1]

B. 
The Clerk/Treasurer shall keep all such applications on file and keep a record of all licenses and permits issued. In the event any license or permit applied for is denied by the Town Board, the Town Clerk/Treasurer shall return the fee to the applicant.
Except as otherwise specifically provided, every license or permit granted shall expire on June 30 of each year.
A. 
Except as otherwise specifically provided, no license or permit fee shall be prorated.
B. 
No license or permit fee shall be refunded if a license or permit is surrendered or revoked for cause.
No license or permit may be transferred from the licensee or permittee to another person or to another place unless approved by the Town of Lawrence Town Board.
A. 
No issuance or renewal of any license or permit shall be granted to any person or business by the Town of Lawrence if such person or business is delinquent in the payment of local property taxes, personal property taxes, special assessments, special charges, utility bills, or any other unpaid or delinquent financial claims of the Town of Lawrence.
B. 
Prior to consideration of an initial issuance or renewal of a license or permit application, a person or business having unpaid or delinquent financial claims of the Town of Lawrence shall be notified in writing by the Town Clerk/Treasurer that the license or permit may be denied.
C. 
No issuance or renewal of any license or permit shall be granted unless the premises conforms to the sanitary, safety, and health requirements of the State Building Code and the regulations of the State Department of Safety and Professional Services.
