It shall be the duty of the City Attorney to attend all regular meetings and all special meetings of the Board of Aldermen where his/her presence is requested; to draft and prepare all ordinances, resolutions, contracts and other regular papers required in the business of the City and the Board of Aldermen; to consult with and advise with the Mayor and other City Officials and the Board of Aldermen in the conduct of the City's business; to advise the City Plan Commission and to attend meetings of the Commission; to attend to such other miscellaneous legal matters as shall be necessary and needed by the City. He/she shall in addition handle all litigation in which the City is involved, other than, Municipal Court cases, and shall be compensated separately for such work.
