This charter shall be submitted to a vote of the electors of
Peters Township at the municipal election to be held on the 6th day
of November, 1973.
At the time of its adoption, this charter shall be in effect
to the extent necessary in order that the first election of members
of the Council may be conducted in accordance with the provisions
of this charter. The first election shall be held at the municipal
election in November 1975.
This charter shall be in full effect for all purposes on the
first Monday of January, 1976.
Members of the Council shall receive compensation of $15 for
each regular meeting until such amount is changed by the Council in
accordance with the provisions of this charter.
On the first Monday of January 1976, the members of the municipal
Council shall assemble at the usual place of meeting and organize
and choose one of their number as Chairman and one as Vice-Chairman.
