No taxicab license shall be issued until a permit shall have
been obtained from the Board of Aldermen permitting the operation
of such taxicabs as provided in this Division.

A. Before
granting a permit, the Board of Aldermen shall require the applicant
to file a written application verified by the oath of the owner of
such taxicabs and shall state the following:
1. The owner desires a permit from the City to operate a taxicab for
the conveyance of passengers with or without baggage for hire over
and upon the public streets and places of the City;
2. The name and address of the owner and, if a corporation, in addition
to its name and address, those of the officers thereof;
3. The State license number of the taxicab and the amount and holder
of any mortgage on the taxicab;
4. The rates to be charged and the name and address of the operator
of the taxicab;
5. The points where such taxicabs will be stationed for calls.

Permits issued by the Board of Aldermen may be revoked by the
Board of Aldermen at any time for good cause, but before revoking
any such permit, the licensee shall be given ten (10) days' previous
notice specifying the grounds or causes for which such permit is proposed
to be revoked and the date and time when such licensee may show cause
why such permit should not be revoked.
