[Adopted 11-26-1990]
By adoption of this article, the Town Board of the Town of Mount
Hope declares its intent to regulate traffic upon the public highways
concerning stop streets, yield streets and other regulatory provisions
adopted pursuant to Article 41 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the
State of New York.
This article shall not apply to the streets located within the
corporate limits of the Village of Otisville, but shall apply to all
other public highways in the Town of Mount Hope, Orange County, New
York.
Any person, firm or corporation who violates the provisions
of this article shall be guilty of an offense punishable by a fine
of not more than $100 or by imprisonment in the case of an individual
for not more than 30 days or by both such fine and imprisonment for
each violation.
The words and phrases used in this article shall have the meanings
respectively ascribed to them by Article 1 of the Vehicle and Traffic
Law of the State of New York.
The intersections described herein are hereby described as stop
intersections, and stop signs shall be erected thereon. Stop streets
are hereby described and established as follows:
