10.2.1. The term of each member of the Planning Commission shall be for four
years or until his successor is appointed and qualified.
10.2.2. The members of the existing Planning Commission established under
Ordinance No. 7-1-50, shall continue in office until the end of the
term for which they were appointed. Members appointed to the Planning
Commission since the effective date of Act 247 shall serve for a term
of four years, as provided for in Act 247, July 31, 1968.
10.2.3. If a vacancy shall occur otherwise than by expiration of term, it
shall be filled by appointment for the unexpired term. Should the
Council of the Municipality of Bethel Park determine to increase the
number of members on the existing Planning Commission, additional
members shall be appointed by the Council. However, members of the
Planning Commission shall not exceed nine. Should the Council of the
Municipality of Bethel Park determine to reduce the number of members
on the existing Planning Commission, such reduction shall be effectuated
by allowing the terms to expire and by making no new appointments
to fill the vacancies. However, the number of members of the Planning
Commission shall at no time be less than three members. Any reduction
or increase shall be by appointment.
10.2.4. All of the members of the Planning Commission shall be residents
of the Municipality of Bethel Park.
