The annual election of officers for the City of Pleasant Valley, Missouri, shall be held on the first Tuesday of April each year, in conformity with Chapter 115 of Laws of Missouri.
A. 
A municipal election for the qualified voters of this City shall be held on the first Tuesday in April of each year.
B. 
On the first Tuesday in April of odd-numbered years, a municipal election of the qualified voters of the City of Pleasant Valley shall be held for the purpose of electing a Mayor, who shall hold his/her office for a term of two (2) years, and until his/her successor is elected and qualified.
C. 
On the first Tuesday in April of odd-numbered years, a municipal election of the qualified voters of the City of Pleasant Valley shall be held for the purpose of electing one (1) Alderman from each ward who shall hold his/her office for a term of two (2) years, and until his/her successor is elected and qualified.
D. 
On the first Tuesday in April of even-numbered years, a municipal election of the qualified voters of the City of Pleasant Valley shall be held for the purpose of electing one (1) Alderman from each ward, who shall hold his/her office for a term of two (2) years, and until his/her successor is elected and qualified.
E. 
On the first Tuesday in April of odd-numbered years, a municipal election of the qualified voters of the City of Pleasant Valley shall be held for the purpose of electing a Collector, who shall hold his/her office for a term of two (2) years, and until their successors are elected and qualified.

Any person who desires to become a candidate for an elective City office at the general City election shall file with the City Clerk, a written declaration of his/her intent to become a candidate at said election. The City Clerk shall keep a permanent record of the names of the candidates, the offices for which they seek election, the date of their filing, and their names shall appear on the ballots in that order. The opening and closing date for filing shall be in accordance with Chapter 115, RSMo.

The City Clerk shall, in accordance with Chapter 115, RSMo., notify the public of the office or offices to be filled, prior to any election at which City offices are to be filled by said election, notify the general public of the opening candidate filing date, the office or offices to be filled, the proper place for candidate filing and the closing filing date of the election. Such notification may be accomplished by legal notice published in at least one (1) newspaper of general circulation in the City.

The elected officials for the City of Pleasant Valley, Missouri, shall be Mayor, Collector, and eight (8) Aldermen, two (2) each from the four (4) Wards. The election of the Mayor and Collector shall be every two (2) years commencing in 1983. The Aldermen shall be elected for two (2) year terms and follow the pattern of staggered elections as heretofore practiced pursuant to Section 79.060, RSMo.

A. 
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 79.060, RSMo., the City is divided into four (4) wards. Such wards shall be bounded and described as follows:
1. 
Ward One (Blue). Commencing east from the western City limit at Pleasant Valley Road centerline 2,348 feet to the centerline of North Brookside; then north 520 feet to Barlow centerline; then east 465 feet to Chas Drive centerline; then north following Chas Drive to the northern City limit; then west along the City limits 3,070 feet to the northwest corner of the City limits; then south along the City limits 2,612 feet to the centerline of Pleasant Valley Road, the point of beginning.
2. 
Ward Two (Brown). Commencing east on Pleasant Valley Road, at the intersection of North Brookside, 1,550 to the centerline of Sobbie Road; then north 953 feet to the centerline of Laverne Road; then east 449 feet to the centerline of Leona Road; then north 340 feet to the centerline of Kaill Road; then west 455 feet to the centerline of Sobbie Road; then north 1,170 feet along Sobbie Road to the centerline of Linda Lane; then east on Linda Lane 1,271 feet to the centerline of Fulton Road; then north 157 feet to the City limit; then west along the City limit border 2,145 feet to the centerline of Chas Drive; then south along Chas Drive 2,271 feet to the centerline of Barlow; then west 465 feet to the centerline of North Brookside; then south along North Brookside 520 feet to the centerline of Pleasant Valley Road, the point of beginning.
3. 
Ward Three (Green). Commencing at the center lines of Pleasant Valley Road and Sobbie Road, going east on Pleasant Valley Road 1,979 feet to the centerline of Liberty Parkway, at Stewart Road; then southeast along the City limit, at the centerline of Liberty Parkway, 150 feet; then directly east 500 feet, along the City limit which is on the south side of Clay County Assessor’s Property ID 268161 Parcel ID 14617000100100; then north 155 feet to the centerline of Liberty Drive; then east along the centerline of Liberty Drive to 1,250 feet to the western edge of Flintlock Road; then north along the northeastern City limit 2,540 feet to the northeast City limit corner; then west 2,555 feet, along the City limits, to the centerline of Fulton Road; then south on Fulton Road centerline to the centerline of Linda Lane; then west on Linda Lane 1,271 feet to the centerline of Sobbie Road; then south of Sobbie Road 1,170 feet to the centerline of Kaill Road; then east on Kaill Road 455 feet to the centerline of Leona Road; then south on Leona 340 feet to the centerline of Laverne Road; then east on Laverne Road 449 feet to the centerline of Sobbie Road; then south on Sobbie Road to the centerline of Pleasant Valley Road, the point of beginning.
4. 
Ward Four (Red). Commencing east from the western City limit at Pleasant Valley Road centerline 5,870 feet to the centerline of Liberty Parkway, at Stewart Road; then south along the City limit, on the east side of 69 Highway, 5,471 feet to the west side of Grove Street; then north 1,490, along the City limit, to the centerline of I-35; then west along the City limit, 2,650 to the southwest City limit corner, which is west of I-435; then north along the City limit 2,700 feet to the centerline of Pleasant Valley Road, the point of the beginning.
