A.
Except as hereinafter provided, it shall be unlawful
for an operator of any vehicle to park the vehicle for a period longer
than two hours between 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m., daily, on any
public way in the City where overnight on-street permit parking is
not allowed. It shall be unlawful for an operator of any vehicle to
park the vehicle for any time period between the hours of 12:00 midnight
and 6:00 a.m., daily, without a permit on the public ways where overnight
on-street permit parking is allowed.

B.
Anyone violating this provision shall be fined a minimum
of $25. If such fine is not paid within seven days, the fine shall
increase by $10, to $35.[1]

Residences within the City of Nashua who have overnight guests occasionally
may call the Parking Department and ask for temporary relief from
the overnight ban when their guests must park on city streets.

There shall be a program for on-street overnight parking as
described below.
A.
On-street overnight parking shall be allowed between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m. on designated streets only to vehicles with a permit. On-street overnight parking for any time period between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m. on designated streets without a permit is a violation of § 320-78 and is not allowed.

will be allowed to purchase an annual permit, with a maximum number
of 550 permits to be issued. Additionally, residents of the following
locations are also allowed to purchase annual permits:

Applicants for a permit must show current proof of residence,
to be demonstrated by a current New Hampshire vehicle registration
certificate or proof of vehicle's insurance at that residence and
one of the following additional documents:
(a)
Valid certificate of title;
(b)
Title application prepared by the Tax Collector that is not
marked "nonresident";
(c)
Lease or rental agreement;
(d)
Notarized letter from a landlord at the address provided;
(e)
Mortgage statement at the address provided;
(f)
Any current utility bill with service at the address provided;
(g)
Property tax bill at the address provided; or
(h)
Government check, payroll check, payroll document or employment
contract.
(3)
Permits are not permitted for commercial vehicles, recreational
vehicles, or boats.
(4)
Permit stickers shall be displayed in the rear driver side window.
(5)
Regardless of when a permit is obtained, annual parking permits
shall be effective to December 31 of that year, and the fee for every
permit for a year or a portion of a year shall be $10.
(6)
Permits shall be issued by the City Clerk's Office, who shall
maintain an electronic record of the number of permits per address.
(7)
It is the intent of the Board of Aldermen that the revenue received
from the issuance of permits will first cover the cost of administering
the program, and any remaining revenue in excess of the administrative
costs will be used for neighborhood improvements in the neighborhoods
in which permits are allowed.
B.
There shall be no overnight parking in areas where parking is not
permitted during the daytime.
C.
There shall be no overnight parking during a declared snow emergency.
D.
There shall be no parking in the same location for more than 48 consecutive
hours.
E.

A.
No vehicle over 18,000 pounds' gross vehicle weight
shall remain parked or stopped, whether attended or unattended, on
public or private property within any residential district of the
City, with its engine or any other auxiliary engine, power source
or similar mechanical device operating, for a period in excess of
15 minutes between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m. daily.
B.
Any person found in violation of the terms and conditions
of this section shall be fined $50.
