No fires may be built unless permission has been received from
the Fire Chief of the Town of Lee. No fires are to be left unattended
for any reason, and fires are to be extinguished completely when no
longer required.
Cutting, mutilating, removing or taking away of trees, shrubs,
flowers or wood is prohibited unless specific written approval is
obtained from the Conservation Commission.
Carrying of any type of firearm, bow and arrow or air rifle
is prohibited. Hunting and trapping are prohibited on any Town land
so posted by the Commission.
No person shall remove or deface any sign, poster, building
or other property or remove any barrier on roads within the Town forest.
No structure shall be constructed without a permit from the Conservation
Commission.
Persons using the Town forests do so at their own risk.
No person shall leave a car on any roadway where parking spaces
are provided. Roadways must be kept clear for the passage of private,
public or emergency vehicles.
No person shall, in any Town forest, carry on any business or
commercial calling or trade, sell or otherwise deal in commodities
or merchandise or solicit patronage of any sort or advertise any such
business or calling for the sale of such commodities or merchandise.
No person shall solicit contributions for any purpose or cause, except
by written permission of the Conservation Commission.
Garbage or other refuse resulting from picnicking or other causes
shall be deposited in containers for that purpose. At no time shall
a person otherwise deposit or leave any refuse in any Town forest.
No recreational motor vehicle (as defined in MGL c. 90B, § 20)
may be operated on any land under the jurisdiction of the Conservation
Commission. Passenger cars and trucks must remain on roadways unless
the operator has specific written approval of the Commission. No person
or persons will be permitted to endanger the lives of themselves or
others by any reckless or thoughtless action.
Violation of any provision of these rules is punishable by a
fine of not less than $25 nor more than $100.
Any permit issued in accordance with these rules and regulations
may be revoked by the Conservation Commission for any reason.
