[HISTORY: Adopted by the Special Town Meeting of the Town
of Lee 5-26-1971 by Art. 10 as Ch. 9 of the 1971 Code. Amendments noted where applicable.]
No person within the Town shall be a collector of, dealer in
or keeper of a shop for the sale or barter of junk, old metals or
secondhand articles unless licensed by the Board of Selectmen as provided
by statute, except that permits for fund-raising sales of secondhand
articles by local religious, social or charitable organizations may
be issued by the Board of Selectmen.
