The officers of the Department of Public Safety shall be conservators
of the peace, and shall be active and vigilant in the preservation
of good order within the City, and it shall be their duty to see to
the enforcement of all of the ordinances of the City and all Statutes
applicable therein, and to preserve order and prevent infractions
of the law and arrest violators thereof.

No member of the Department of Public Safety shall retain any
reward or present tendered him/her for his/her own benefit. Any rewards
or presents received shall be turned over to the Director of Public
Safety, who shall deposit the same with the City Treasurer. It shall
be cause for removal, for any member of the Department to receive
any such reward or present.
