A.Â
Farm
animals shall be kept within an enclosure of at least three (3) contiguous
acres for the first (1st) two (2) farm animals and an additional one
(1) contiguous acre for each farm animal over two (2) in number.
B.Â
Domesticated
birds housed primarily outside must be kept on three (3) or more contiguous
acres. Cooped domesticated birds can be kept on less than three (3)
contiguous acres based on species, provided the coop does not pose
a nuisance to neighbors.
C.Â
No
other animals may be kept within the City, except: ferrets, pet rodents,
hedge hogs, rabbits, non-venomous snakes and non-venomous reptiles
that are under fifteen (15) pounds, goldfish and tropical fish commonly
kept in aquariums or fish ponds, sugar gliders, pet shop turtles and
pet shop tarantulas. Domestic songbirds and non-endangered birds commonly
kept inside dwelling units in cages may be kept.
D.Â
This
Section shall not apply to any duly licensed veterinarian, kennel,
pet shop or grooming parlor.
