The City of Hallsville hereby adopts and incorporates herein by reference the Building Code Enforcement Cooperative Agreement attached hereto as if fully and completely set forth herein in its entirety.[1]

The Mayor is hereby directed to execute the said agreement in the name, and on behalf, of the City of Hallsville.

A. 
There is hereby adopted the Boone County Building Code, including: the International Residential Code 2015; the International Plumbing Code 2015; the International Mechanical Code 2015; the International Fuel Gas Code 2015; the International Existing Building Code 2015; the International Energy Conservation Code 2015 and the National Electric Code 2014, all of which are adopted as amended, including appendixes and referenced standards, as recommended by the Boone County Building Code Commission.

The provisions of the Building Code adopted in Subsection (A) shall govern construction within the City. In the event of a conflict between the provisions of the Building Code adopted in Subsection (A) and express provisions of this Code, the provisions of this Code shall prevail.
D. 
The Building Code as adopted by the City of Hallsville may, as necessary, from time to time be amended to add local modifications and revisions as may be approved by the Mayor as recommended by the Building Inspector.
E. 
All previous versions of the Boone County Building Code are repealed on the effective date of this ordinance.

It shall be deemed an ordinance violation to be in violation at any time of any of the building codes as set forth in the agreement. Violation of this Article shall be punishable by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) and/or a term of imprisonment in the County Jail for a period not to exceed six (6) months.
