For the protection of the public against fraud and the danger resulting from faulty or improper repairs to radio and television sets, every person engaged in the business of installing or repairing radio and television sets shall register his name, address and firm name and the address of his place of business at the office of the Inspector of Wires.
The Inspector of Wires shall issue a certificate of registration to each qualified person who registers under the provisions of this article. Such certificate of registration shall bear the date of issue and shall continue in force for one year from such date, and each person so registered shall pay therefor a fee as provided in Chapter A110, Fee Schedule, of the City Code.
A. 
Every person who registers under the provisions of this article shall keep a book in which shall be written a record of all repair work, including the name and address of the owner of the repaired article, the serial number, if any, of the repaired article, and the date on which the work was completed.
B. 
The records required by this section shall at all times be open to the inspection by the Inspector of Wires or his representative, and the Police Department.
