A. 
The City Health and Human Services Division shall issue guidelines to school personnel and physicians requiring a risk assessment of all children entering the City public, private and parochial schools, as outlined by the State Department of Public Health, Division of Tuberculosis Prevention and Control.
B. 
Any individual at risk shall receive tuberculin testing by the Mantoux (PPD) technique (not multiple-puncture technique), and those with significant reactions shall be referred for evaluation for prophylactic therapy.
C. 
A history of prior BCG vaccination should not influence the need for skin testing.
D. 
Any student spending four weeks or more outside the United States should have a risk assessment before returning to school.
