Village of Whitesboro, NY Article V Parking Violations

§ 275-40 Short title and applicability.

This article shall be known as the "Schedule of Parking Violation Fines for Violations Under Chapter 275 of the Village Code."

§ 275-41 Declaration of policy.

The imposition of fines for parking violations requires establishing amounts which would discourage violations and still be reasonable and fair to offenders.

§ 275-42 Schedule of fines.

A. The Village Board of Trustees hereby enacts this article and establishes the following schedule of fines for parking violations:

	§ 275-17 Parking in alleys			$20*
	§ 275-18 All-night parking prohibited			$20*
	§ 275-19 parking of trucks			$20*
	§ 275-20 Alternate side parking			$20*
	§ 275-21 Off-street parking prohibitions
	A.	Fire lanes		$50*
	B.	Parking spaces for handicapped persons		$50*
	§ 275-22 Parking prohibited at all times			$20*
	§ 275-23 No stopping			$20*
	§ 275-24 No standing			$20*
	§ 275-25 Parking prohibited certain hours			$20*
	§ 275-26 No stopping certain hours			$20*
	§ 275-27 No standing certain hours			$20*
	§ 275-28 Time limit parking			$20*
	§ 275-29 Angle parking			$20*
	§ 275-30 Loading zones			$20*
	§ 275-31 Taxi stands			$20*
	§ 275-32 Bus stops			$20*

If paid within 72 hours.

B. For all violations, except § 275-21A and B, the fine will increase to $30 after 72 hours, and, in the event that a warrant is issued, the fine will be $50.

C. For violations of § 275-21A and B the fine will increase to $75 after 72 hours, and, in the event that a warrant is issued, the fine will be $100.

§ 275-43 Construal of provisions.

To the extent applicable, § 275-46 of the Village Code shall be deemed amended and the fines set forth therein will be deemed superseded by the provisions hereof.
