of the 1990 Code)]
There is hereby established a Committee to be known as the "Mount
Olive Pride Committee." Its purpose and function will he to generate
pride in the Mount Olive community and to communicate the attributes
of the Township of Mount Olive.
The Pride Committee shall consist of 10 members, who shall all
be residents of the Township of Mount Olive. The 10 members of the
Committee shall be nominated by the Mayor and their appointments confirmed
by resolution of the Township Council. In addition, an eleventh member
shall be a member of the Township Council, approved by the Township
Council, and shall be referred to as the "Township Council Liaison."
A.
Each member shall serve a period of three years when appointed as
a member of this Committee; however, for those who are initially appointed
to this Committee, the Township Council, by resolution, shall designate
which four members shall receive initial terms of three years, which
three members shall receive initial terms of two years and which three
members shall receive initial terms of one year. The Township Council
Liaison shall have a one-year term or until his/her successor is appointed.
B.
All terms shall run from January 1 of the year in which the initial
individuals are appointed until December 31 of the year in which their
term expires or until such time as a successor is appointed. In the
event of any unexpired terms which are created by resignation of one
nature or another, a replacement shall be appointed for the unexpired
term of the member who is no longer serving and thereby created the
vacancy.
