Whenever any words and phrases are used in this chapter, the meanings respectively ascribed to them in Subtitle 1 of Title 39 of the New Jersey Statutes Annotated shall be deemed to apply to such words and phrases used here.
All former traffic ordinances of the Borough are hereby repealed, except that this repeal shall not affect or prevent the prosecution or punishment of any person for any act done or committed in violation of any ordinance hereby repealed prior to, the taking effect of this chapter.

A. 
Whoever violates any provision of this chapter for which no specific penalty is otherwise provided shall be subject to the provisions of § 247-3.
B. 
Unless another penalty is expressly provided by state statute, every person convicted of a violation of § 247-24A through D shall be liable to a fine of not more than $150 for the first violation and $150 for each additional violation, plus court costs.
C. 
Unless another penalty is expressly provided by state statute, every person convicted of a violation of § 247-24E shall be liable to a fine of not more than $25. If a person charged with a violation of this section can exhibit his/her handicapped permit or placard to the judge of the municipal court before whom he/she is summoned to answer to the charge, such judge may dismiss the charge. However, the judge may impose court costs.
D. 
Unless another penalty is expressly provided by state statute, every person convicted of a violation of § 247-24F shall be liable to a fine of not more than $500 for the first offense and $500 for each additional violation, plus court costs.
E. 
Unless another penalty is expressly provided by New Jersey statute, every person convicted of a violation of a provision of this chapter or any supplement thereto shall be liable to a penalty of not more than $50 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or both.
