The following uses shall require architectural plan review and
approval before being undertaken:
A. In the B-1 and B-1A Districts, changes to the facade of an existing
building that:
(1)
Do not alter the footprint of the building; and
(2)
Are either for maintenance and repair purposes or to improve
the aesthetic appeal of the facade.
An architectural plan shall be submitted to the Planning Board
for review and approval and shall include the following information:
A. Drawings of any building for which the applicant proposes facade
improvements, showing both how the facade appears at the time of the
application and how it is proposed to be altered. It is preferred,
but not required, that such drawings be prepared by an engineer or
architect licensed by the State of New York.
B. The location and size of proposed signs.
C. In any district for which design guidelines have been adopted, an
explanation of the measures taken to comply with such guidelines.
D. Such additional information as may be required by the Planning Board.
