A. 
The owners and occupants of all residences within the Village of Hanley Hills, Missouri, shall post their street addresses on said residence as follows:
1. 
Each number shall be not less than three (3) inches in height and shall be clearly readable from the street in front of the residence.
2. 
Each number shall be attached to the residence in the general area of the front door and at least four (4) feet above the ground.
B. 
The requirements of this Section may be enforced by the Mid-County Fire Protection District.

A. 
An approved system providing for automatic smoke detectors sensing visible or invisible particles of combustion shall be installed in every residential structure heretofore or hereafter constructed in accordance with the following standards:
1. 
Location and number.
a. 
In single-family residential buildings there shall be not less than one (1) smoke detector per floor, including basement.
2. 
Hookups and requirements.
a. 
In new construction all alarms shall be multiple station alarm devices, interconnected so that the actuation of one shall cause at least three (3) alarms in remote areas to operate. Such alarms shall be wired to the electrical service in accordance with the requirements of the Village's Electrical Code.
b. 
All smoke detectors shall have a distinctive, audible trouble signal which shall sound before the battery is incapable of operating the device for alarm purposes.
c. 
All smoke detectors shall be capable of producing an alarm signal for at least four (4) minutes at the battery voltage at which a trouble signal is normally obtained, followed by seven (7) days of trouble signal operation.
d. 
All smoke detectors shall be approved by Underwriters' Laboratories or other nationally recognized testing laboratories.
3. 
Time for compliance of existing construction. Whenever the owner of an existing residential structure applies for a certificate of occupancy, such certificate shall not be issued until the structure is brought into compliance with the provisions of this Section.

The Village of Hanley Hills hereby adopts in its entirety the rules and regulations of the St. Louis County Sewer Lateral Repair Program, Rules and Regulations as and for the rules and regulations for the administration of the sewer lateral tax and program.
