A. 
State traffic forfeiture laws and rules adopted. Except as otherwise specifically provided in this chapter, all provisions of the general body of law in Chapters 340 through 348 of the Wisconsin Statutes and rules of the Department of Transportation in Chapter Trans 305 of the Wisconsin Administrative Code describing and defining regulations with respect to vehicles and traffic and equipment for which the penalty is a forfeiture only, including penalties to be imposed and procedures for prosecution, are hereby adopted and by reference made a part of this chapter as if fully set forth herein. Any act required to be performed or prohibited by any statute or rule incorporated herein by reference is required or prohibited by this chapter.
B. 
Other laws adopted. There are also hereby adopted by reference the following sections of the Wisconsin Statutes, but the prosecution of such offenses under this chapter shall be as provided in Chapters 340 through 348 of the Wisconsin Statutes, and the penalty for violation thereof shall be limited to a forfeiture as provided in § 400-24 of this chapter: § 941.01(1), Negligent operation of vehicle off highway.
The Common Council of the City of Port Washington hereby determines that the statutory speed limits on the following street or portions thereof are unreasonable, unsafe or imprudent and modifies such speed limits under authority granted by § 349.11, Wis. Stats., as follows:

Speed limits increased. Speed limits established by § 346.57(4)(e) and (f), Wis. Stats., are increased as hereinafter set forth upon the following streets or portions thereof:

The Common Council of the City of Port Washington hereby determines that traffic conditions warrant the following additional restrictions on turning to those set forth in § 349.10(1), Wis. Stats.:
A. 
U-Turns prohibited. No person shall make a U-turn at the following locations: Grand Avenue and Franklin Street
Whoever does any of the following may be ordered to forfeit as hereinafter provided:
A. 
Upon any street or highway, public or private property, makes or causes to be made any unreasonable noise, which disturbs or tends to disturb the peace and quiet of any person in the vicinity thereof, by squealing tires of his/her motor vehicle, or by causing loud and unnecessary acceleration of such motor vehicle.
B. 
Operates a motor vehicle in such a manner as to cause dirt, stones, rubber or other debris to be thrown by the wheels of such motor vehicle upon the person or property of another or to be thrown in a manner creating or tending to create an unreasonable risk or hazard to others upon the roadway or adjoining pedestrian walkway.
C. 
Operates or uses a motor vehicle upon any street or highway, public or private property, within the City limits where a compression brake is in any way engaged on such motor vehicle, or any unit a part thereof, causing noise which disturbs or tends to disturb the peace and quiet of any persons in the vicinity thereof, except when engaged or activated to avert imminent danger. For purposes of this section, "compression brake" means a device primarily on trucks for the conversion of the engine from an internal combustion engine to an air compressor for the purpose of braking without the use of or in addition to wheel brakes. This section shall not include or apply to fire trucks or fire equipment.
A. 
Class "B" highways designated. All streets and alleys within the City of Port Washington, Wisconsin, except the following enumerated streets and alleys, are hereby designated Class "B" highways and shall be subject to the weight limitations imposed by § 348.16, Wis. Stats.:
(1) 
All of State Trunk Highways 32 and 33 within the City limits, unless otherwise designated by the County Board.
B. 
Special and season weight limitations. The Board of Public Works shall have the authority to impose special or seasonal weight limits to prevent injury to the roadway of any highway, bridge or culvert within the jurisdiction of the City or for the safety of users of such highway, bridge or culvert and shall be responsible for erecting signs giving notice thereof in accordance with § 349.16, Wis. Stats.
C. 
Heavy traffic routes; restrictions on use of other streets by heavy traffic.
(1) 
Heavy traffic routes. The following streets or parts of streets within the City are hereby designated heavy traffic routes:

(2) 
In this section, "heavy traffic" means all vehicles not operating completely on pneumatic tires and all vehicles or combination of vehicles, other than motor buses, designed or used for transporting property of any nature and having a gross weight of more than 6,000 pounds.
(3) 
Other streets. No vehicle, except a motor bus, which is not operating completely on pneumatic tires or has a combined gross vehicle load weight exceeding 6,000 pounds shall be operated or moved on any street or alley in the City not part of the heavy traffic route designated in Subsection C(1) of this section, except for the purpose of obtaining orders for supplies or moving or delivering supplies or commodities to or from a place of business or residence which has an entrance on such street, provided that in no event shall the weight of the vehicle or combination of vehicles and load on such street exceed the limitations of § 348.15(3), Wis. Stats., pertaining to Class "A" highways or § 348.16(3), Wis. Stats., pertaining to pickup or delivery on Class "B" highways.
(4) 
Notwithstanding Subsection C(3) of this section, no vehicle, except a motor bus, which is not operating completely on pneumatic tires or has a combined gross vehicle load weight exceeding 6,000 pounds shall be operated or moved on Larabee Street between North Spring Street and North Maple Street, except for the purpose of obtaining orders for supplies or moving or delivering supplies or commodities to or from a residence which has an entrance on such street, provided that in no event shall the weight of the vehicle or combination of vehicles and load on such street exceed the limitations of § 348.15(3), Wis. Stats., pertaining to Class "A" highways or § 348.16(3), Wis. Stats., pertaining to pickup or delivery on Class "B" highways.
When signs are erected in any blocks giving notice thereof, no person shall park a vehicle for longer than the period hereinafter specified or at any time between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., except Sundays and the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, or between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Fridays, or at such other specific time as may be more particularly set forth herein and upon the following streets or portions of streets:

Parking meters shall be installed by the Board of Public Works in compliance with the provisions of § 400-10.
A. 
Parking meter zones and time limits. No person shall, without depositing the parking meter fees hereinafter required, park a vehicle in any parking meter zone, including public parking lots, for longer than the period specified on the parking meter, at any time between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., and between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Fridays, except Sundays and the following legal holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Notwithstanding the time and date limitations set forth herein, no vehicle shall be parked upon any public parking lot for more than 24 consecutive hours, and no vehicle shall be parked in a public parking lot except in areas where permitted.
B. 
Parking meter fees. Upon parking any vehicle in a parking meter zone, including public parking lots, at any time during which the provisions of this chapter are in effect, the operator of a vehicle shall deposit or cause to be deposited in the parking meter or meters controlling the parking spaces utilized, immediately after parking, such coin or coins of the legal tender of the United States of America and in such amounts as specified on the parking meter, and failure to do so shall constitute a violation of this section. The operator or citizen must turn the handle of the parking meter after depositing the coin or coins to put the meter in operating condition.
C. 
Miscellaneous provisions.
(1) 
In all parking meter zones, a parking meter shall be installed for each parking space. All parking spaces shall be plainly marked by lines on the street surface.
(2) 
Parking meters shall be installed upon the sidewalk or curb immediately adjacent to each designated parking space. Each parking meter shall indicate by a proper legend the established rate and legal parking time and, when in operation, shall also indicate by a dial or pointer the duration of the legal parking and any over parking.
(3) 
Any vehicle parking in any parking meter zone any time during which the provisions of this section are in effect shall be legally parked within the marked lines of the designated parking space. The parking of any vehicle which because of its size requires more than one parking space for legal parking shall be controlled by the several individual parking meters adjacent to all parking spaces utilized.
(4) 
The coins hereby required to be deposited are levied and assessed as fees to provide revenue to meet the cost of regulation of parking, to make provisions for additional parking places off the street, and such other expenses and purposes deemed reasonably necessary to provide for the convenience, safety and welfare of persons using the streets and highways of this City for vehicular traffic, including general street and highway maintenance, repair and construction.
(5) 
No persons shall deposit or cause to be deposited in any parking meter any slug device or foreign substance or substitute a coin of the United States.
(6) 
No person shall deface, injure, tamper with, or willfully break, destroy or impair the usefulness of any parking meters.
(7) 
Notwithstanding the time and date limitations as set forth in Subsection A, no person shall park a vehicle in any of the following parking meter zones, known as the marina parking meter zones, for a longer period than 20 consecutive hours upon deposit of $0.25 for each period of 2 1/2 hours:
(a) 
The westerly tier of parking spaces in the parking lot bounded by East Washington Street, City Street, East Pier Street, and Lake Street.
(b) 
The parking lot bounded by Lake Street, East Pier Street, East Jackson Street and the private property to the west.
(c) 
The parking lot extending from the center line of Pier 2 of the marina extended westerly and bounded by Lake Street, Lake Michigan and the north line of the City park.
A. 
Monthly parking permits shall be available which shall entitle the holder to occupy a parking space in the following public parking lots, as identified by signs, during the periods specified herein, without the requirement that any coins be deposited into the parking meter of such parking space:
(1) 
The public parking lot bounded by East Grand Avenue on the south, an alley running from North Franklin Street west to North Wisconsin Street on the north, the east boundary line of the property at 126 East Grand Avenue on the east, and the east boundary line of the property at 118 East Grand Avenue on the west, all year, except those portions of said public parking lot identified by signs as fifteen-minute parking spaces.
(2) 
The public parking lot bounded by East Grand Avenue on the south, East Main Street on the north, the west boundary of the North Slip on the east, and the east boundary lines of the properties at 100, 114, 122 and 128 North Franklin Street on the west (said lot also identified as Municipal Lot C-4 in Figure 1[1]), but excluding the five northernmost parking spaces in the easternmost row of parking spaces in said lot between the period from April 1 to October 31, inclusive, during which times parking in said parking spaces is limited to 30 minutes.

(3)

B. 
A monthly parking permit shall be available for such fee as determined from time to time by resolution of the Common Council. Except as provided in Subsection A(3) above, the parking permit shall be valid for up to 10 consecutive hours on any weekday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. A permit issued under this section shall be valid for an entire calendar month and the cost shall not be prorated. The permit shall be issued to an individual and shall not be transferable to another person. Not more than one permit shall be issued to any applicant, individually or through any agent, representative or employee, during any calendar month. The permit shall be in such form as determined by the City Administrator and may be obtained from the Police Department upon payment of the prescribed fee and completion of an application in such form as determined by the City Administrator. No person shall duplicate a parking permit issued under this section.
A. 
When signs have been erected at or reasonably near the corporate limits of the City as provided in § 349.13, Wis. Stats., no person shall park any vehicle for a period between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on any of the following streets, except physicians on emergency calls:
(1) 
On any street within the City, between the period from 2:00 a.m. December 1 to 6:00 a.m. April 1, inclusive.
(2) 
On State Trunk Highways 32 and 33 within the City, on all days.
B. 
The Police Department may, at the discretion of the commanding officer of the shift during which a request is made, permit one or more vehicles per residential unit to park on a City street otherwise prohibited under Subsection A(1) above, upon making a determination that said parking prohibition is unreasonably burdensome to the occupants of said residential unit. Said permission shall be granted for a single day at a time, on an occasional basis only, pursuant to general policy guidelines determined by the Chief of Police.
C. 
Parking lots.
(1) 
Notwithstanding the provisions of § 400-11A, no vehicle shall be parked overnight in the following parking lots, as identified in Figure 1,[1] from October 1 to April 30, inclusive, without a permit:
(a) 
Municipal Lot C-1.
(b)

Permits shall be valid for a calendar month at a fee to be determined from time to time by resolution of the Common Council. The permit fee shall not be prorated. The application and permit forms shall be as determined by the Police Department. A permit may be obtained from the Police Department upon completion and approval of an application and payment of the prescribed fee. A permit shall be issued to a specific vehicle and shall not be transferable. When issued, a permit shall allow overnight parking only in the parking lot designated in the permit.

A. 
Definitions. As used in this section, the following words or phrases have the designated meanings:
AUTHORIZED EMERGENCY VEHICLE, CAMPING TRAILER, MOBILE HOME, MOTOR BUS, MOTOR HOME, RECREATIONAL VEHICLE, SCHOOL BUS, TRAILER AND VEHICLE
Shall have the meaning assigned to such terms under § 340.01, Wis. Stats., as amended.
PARK or PARKING
The halting of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, whether carrying property or passengers or not, and whether drawn by a motor vehicle or not, except temporarily for the purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or unloading property or passengers.
PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY
Any way or area which the public has a right to travel or use.
STREET and HIGHWAY
Shall have the meaning assigned to such terms under § 340.01, Wis. Stats., as amended.
B. 
Street, highway and public right-of-way parking restricted. Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, no person shall park any vehicle on any street, highway or public right-of-way of the City for more than 24 consecutive hours.
C. 
Parking restrictions for camping trailers, recreational vehicles, trailers and certain other vehicles; enforcement. No person owning or having control of any camping trailer, mobile home, motor bus, motor home, recreational vehicle, school bus or trailer shall park the same upon any street, highway or public right-of-way of the City for a period exceeding four days, whether consecutive or in the aggregate, per month.
D. 
Exceptions. The provisions of Subsection C hereof shall not apply to authorized emergency vehicles and shall not prohibit, nor be deemed to prohibit, the lawful parking of any vehicle described in Subsection C upon any street, highway or public right-of-way of the City specifically designated for such purpose, or as authorized by a valid parking permit.

B. 
Commercial vehicles. No person shall park any commercial vehicle in a district zoned for residence purposes under Chapter 485, Zoning, of the City Code, except as provided in § 485-95A(3)(c).

C. 
Recreational vehicles. From May 1 through September 30, self-contained recreational vehicles, defined as a vehicle which contains electric power and lights, water system, toilet and sewage holding tank, shall not be parked on any City street, alley or parking lot in an area bounded by the east curbline of North Franklin Street, the north curbline of East Jackson Street until it intersects with the west curbline of Lake Street, northerly and including all streets and alleys and parking areas or parks to the north limits of the Upper Lake Park, easterly to the shore of Lake Michigan, southerly along the shore of Lake Michigan to the south line of the Marina Peninsula Park, northerly and westerly along the North Slip of the harbor and the south line of Washington Street to the east curbline of North Franklin Street, except where specifically and exclusively provided for and then only upon payment of a permit fee in an amount established or revised from time to time by resolution of the Common Council for each 24 hours or portion thereof, obtainable from the authorized representative of the City of Port Washington. In addition, those persons granted a marina parking permit who are actively using marina facilities may be allowed to sleep overnight in the above-designated areas for no more than four overnights in a seven-day period. The type of vehicles in which temporary overnight parking and sleeping are permitted are: recreational vehicles, camping trailers, motor homes, buses, conversion vans and truck campers. There shall be no more than three vehicles parked overnight in the above-designated areas. Any temporary overnight parking permit granted under this subsection is subject to revocation or suspension for cause by the City upon a citation or complaint being issued to a permittee and signed by a law enforcement officer, building inspector, local health officer or harbormaster.

D. 
Leaving vehicle with motor running. No person shall leave a motor vehicle parked or standing unattended with its motor running.
E. 
Evasion of parking regulations. No person shall move any vehicle for purposes of evading limitations set forth in this chapter or otherwise interfere with any marks or activities or any City official with the intention of evading or preventing the enforcement of parking provisions herein.
F. 
Alleys and parking lots.
(1) 
No person shall park any vehicle in any alley at any time.
(2) 
No person other than regular employees and elected officials of the City shall park a motor vehicle in the parking lot north of and adjacent to City Hall between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

(3) 
No person shall park a vehicle for longer than 15 minutes in the two parking spaces, as identified by signs, located in the public parking lot bounded by East Grand Avenue on the south, an alley running from North Franklin Street west to North Wisconsin Street on the north, the east boundary line of the property at 126 East Grand Avenue on the east, and the east boundary line of the property at 118 East Grand Avenue on the west. The penalty for violation of this subsection shall be $25 for each twenty-four-hour period or portion thereof.
G. 
Parking for Police and Fire Department personnel.
(1) 
No person other than Police and Fire Department personnel shall park a motor vehicle on the south side of West Washington Street from a point 150 feet west from the west curbline of North Wisconsin Street to the first curbline of North Milwaukee Street.
(2) 
No person other than Fire Department personnel shall park a motor vehicle on the east side of North Wisconsin Street between Pier Street and Washington Street.
H. 
School bus parking.
(1) 
No person shall stop, park or leave standing any vehicle except a school bus in the following designated passenger loading/unloading zones, which shall be reserved for the temporary loading or unloading of passengers by school buses while such buses are actually engaged in receiving or discharging passengers and while such buses are attended by a licensed operator so that such buses may be promptly moved in case of an emergency:

Pursuant to § 346.505(2), Wis. Stats., no person shall park, stop or leave standing any vehicle, whether attended or unattended and whether temporarily or otherwise, within, upon, or so as to obstruct, block or otherwise limit the use of the designated space or portion of the following streets, highways or parking facilities which shall be reserved, by official traffic signs indicating the restriction, for vehicles displaying special registration plates or special identification cards for physically disabled persons, as defined under § 346.503(1), Wis. Stats.:
A. 
The easterly most parking space located on the south side of East Main Street, between North Wisconsin Street and North Franklin Street.
B. 
The westerly most parking space located on the north side of East Pier Street, between North Wisconsin Street and North Franklin Street.
C. 
The first parking space located on the south side of East Pier Street, east of Harborview Lane.
D. 
On the west side of Lake Street, the northernmost 30 feet of the angled parking.
E. 
A parking space located on the east side of South Webster Street from a point 238 feet south of the south curbline of West Grand Avenue to a point 274 feet from the south curbline of West Grand Avenue.
F. 
The first parking space located on the west side of South Webster Street, south of West Foster Street.
G. 
The first parking space located on the east side of South Wisconsin Street north of Sauk Creek.
H. 
The first parking space located on the south side of West Foster Street, west of South Webster Street.
I.

A. 
Duties of school bus operators.
(1) 
Warning lights required. Notwithstanding the provisions of § 346.48(2)(b)2, Wis. Stats., adopted by reference in § 400-1A and except as provided in Subsection A(2) of this section, the operator of a school bus shall use the school bus flashing red warning lights in a residence or business district in the City when pupils or other authorized passengers are to be loaded or unloaded at a location at which there are no traffic signals and such persons must cross the street or highway before being loaded or after being unloaded. Such flashing red warning lights shall be actuated by the operator at least 100 feet before stopping to load or unload pupils or other authorized passengers, and the operator shall not extinguish such lights until loading or unloading is complete and persons who must cross the street or highway are safely across. Where the curb and sidewalk are laid on one side of the road only, the operator shall use the flashing red warning lights when loading or unloading passengers from either side.
(2) 
Warning lights prohibited. Pursuant to § 349.21(2), Wis. Stats., the operator of a school bus shall not use the school bus flashing red warning lights when pupils or other authorized passengers are loaded or unloaded directly from or onto the school grounds or that portion of the right-of-way between the roadway and the school grounds in a zone designated by "school" warning signs as provided in § 118.08(1), Wis. Stats., in which a street or highway borders the grounds of a school.
B. 
Other vehicles to stop. The operator of a vehicle which approaches from the front or rear of any school bus which has stopped on a street or highway and is displaying flashing red warning lights shall stop the vehicle not less than 20 feet from the bus and shall remain stopped until the bus resumes motion or the school bus operator extinguishes the flashing red warning lights. The operator of any school bus which approaches from the front or rear of another school bus which has stopped and is displaying flashing red warning lights shall display its flashing red lights while stopped. This subsection shall not apply to operators of vehicles proceeding in the opposite direction on a divided street or highway.

A. 
From the third Friday in June through Labor Day of each year, Marina Lot M-3, located at the corner of Jackson and Lake Streets, will be restricted to marina tenant permit parking only starting on Fridays and running through Sundays of each of those weeks.
B. 
Except for a current tenant of the City's marina, whose vehicle shall display a marina tenant parking pass, no person shall park a motor vehicle in parking space numbers 57 to 87 (said parking spaces shown on Exhibit A attached hereto) of Municipal Lot M-6 (said lot identified in Figure 1[1]) on Saturdays or Sundays between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. from April 1 through October 31 annually.

A. 
Sales and solicitation are prohibited at the county park and ride lot.
B. 
Parking in excess of 72 hours is prohibited at the county park and ride lot.
C. 
The use of the county park and ride lot for special events is prohibited unless permission is requested from and granted by the Ozaukee County Public Works Committee.
D. 
Except for emergencies or with the approval of the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Department, parking detached trailers is prohibited at the county park and ride lot. For purposes of this subsection, "trailer" is defined as a vehicle without motive power designed for carrying property or passengers wholly on its own structure and for being drawn by a motor vehicle, but does not include a mobile home.
E. 
Parking trucks that weigh in excess of 8,000 pounds is prohibited at the county park and ride lot.
The operator of any vehicle involved in an accident shall, within 12 days after such accident, file with the City Police Department a copy of the report required by § 346.70, Wis. Stats., if any. If the operator is unable to make such report, any occupant of the vehicle at the time of the accident capable of making such report shall have the duty to comply with this section. Such reports shall be subject to the provisions and limitations in §§ 346.70(4)(f) and 346.73, Wis. Stats.[1]

A. 
Board of Public Works to procure and erect signs and signals. The Board of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to procure, erect and maintain appropriate standard traffic signs, signals and markings conforming to the rules of the State Department of Transportation giving such notice of this chapter as required by state law. Signs shall be erected in such locations and manner as the Board of Public Works shall determine will best effect the purposes of this chapter and give adequate warning to users of the street or highway.

B. 
Removal of unofficial signs and signals. The Board of Public Works shall have the authority granted by § 349.09, Wis. Stats., and is hereby directed to order the removal of a sign, signal, marking or device placed, maintained or displayed in violation of this chapter or § 346.41, Wis. Stats. Any charge imposed on a premises for removal of such an illegal sign, signal or device shall be reported to the Common Council at its next regular meeting for review and certification.
All persons charged with a nonmoving traffic violation, as used herein being any parking of a vehicle in violation of a statute or an ordinance, shall be subject to § 345.28, Wis. Stats., as may be amended, revised or modified. Such person may pay the applicable amount of forfeiture to the Port Washington Police Department within 28 days of issuance of the violation citation. In such event, the citation shall not be filed in court. If the alleged violator fails to pay the applicable amount of forfeiture or fails to appear in court, the Port Washington Police Department, by its authorized representative, may proceed to issue a summons or may notify the Department of Transportation that a citation has been issued and remains unpaid. In the latter case, the Port Washington Police Department may request suspension of the registration of the vehicle involved or request that registration be refused for any vehicle owned by the person under § 341.10(7m), Wis. Stats., or both.

The penalty for violation of any provision of this chapter shall be a forfeiture as hereinafter provided together with the cost of prosecution imposed as provided in §§ 345.20 to 345.53, Wis. Stats.
A. 
Uniform offenses. Except as provided in Subsection D for nonmoving traffic offenses, forfeitures for violation of any provision of Chapters 341 to 348 of the Wisconsin Statutes adopted by reference in § 400-1A of this chapter shall conform to forfeitures for violation of the comparable state offense, including any variations or increases for a second offense.
B. 
Special local regulations. Where not specifically provided to the contrary in Subsection A, the forfeiture for a violation of §§ 400-2 through 400-23 of this chapter shall be not less than $25 nor more than $200 for the first offense, and not less than $25 nor more than $500 for the second or subsequent offense within two years.
C. 
Miscellaneous. The forfeiture for violation of any provision of § 400-1B of this chapter shall be not less than $50 nor more than $500.
D. 
Parking.
(1) 
The forfeiture for all parking violations shall be $25 if paid by mail or otherwise to the City Clerk within 28 days of such violations, and shall be $50 if paid after 28 days.
(2) 
Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, the forfeiture for a violation related to parking spaces or portions of streets, highways, or parking facilities reserved for vehicles used by physically disabled persons shall be not less than $150 nor more than $300.
This chapter shall be enforced in accordance with the provisions of §§ 66.0114 and 345.20 to 345.53 and Ch. 799, of the Wis. Stats.
A. 
Uniform citation. The uniform citation promulgated under § 345.11, Wis. Stats., shall be used for all violations under this chapter, including provisions for which a statutory counterpart exists.
B. 
Parking citations. Citations for all nonmoving traffic violations under this chapter shall conform to § 345.28, Wis. Stats., and shall permit direct mail payment of the applicable minimum forfeiture to the Police Department within five days of the issuance of the citation in lieu of court appearance. The issuing officer shall specify thereon the amount of the applicable forfeiture as provided in this chapter.
C. 
Receipts. Every officer accepting a forfeiture penalty or money deposit under this chapter shall receipt therefor in triplicate as provided in § 345.26(3)(b), Wis. Stats. Every officer accepting a stipulation under the provisions of this chapter shall require the alleged violator to sign a statement of notice in substantially the form contained on the uniform traffic citation and complaint promulgated under § 345.11, Wis. Stats.

D. 
Forfeitures in treasury; officer to post bond and qualify. Any officer accepting deposits or forfeited penalties under this chapter shall deliver them to the City Treasurer within 20 days after receipt. Any officer authorized to accept deposits under § 345.26, Wis. Stats., or this chapter shall qualify by taking the oath prescribed by § 19.01, Wis. Stats., and filing an official bond in the sum of $1,000 as described by § 19.01, Wis. Stats.
