[HISTORY: Adopted by the Township Committee of the Township of Little Egg Harbor 9-25-2014 by Ord. No. 2014-15. Amendments noted where applicable.]
There is hereby established a Green Team Advisory Committee to the Little Egg Harbor Township Committee.
The general purpose for the Green Team Advisory Committee includes but is not limited to the following:
A. 
Manage the Township's participation in the Sustainable Jersey program;
B. 
Encourage the pursuit of sustainable practices where possible within the Township;
C. 
Make Green Team information available to the public;
D. 
At the recommendation of the Township Committee, work with existing groups within the Township whose actions affect environmental issues;
E. 
Provide suggestions for further research and action to the Township Committee;
F. 
At the direction of the Township Committee, provide advice and suggestions to the Township Zoning and Planning Boards to assure that environmental issues are considered in their deliberations and actions;
G. 
Solicit and evaluate environmental ideas and suggestions from the community; and
H. 
Promote sustainability within the Township.

A. 
The Green Team shall consist of 10 members, with two alternates also being appointed by resolution of the Township Committee. All members and alternates shall be Township residents.
B. 
Additionally, two members of the Township Committee, the Superintendent of the Department of Public Works, the Township Engineer and the Township Administrator or Assistant Township Administrator shall serve as ex officio members of the Green Team. Ex officio members shall not vote.
C. 
The Green Team shall elect from among its members a Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary/Treasurer.
D. 
All terms shall be for three years.
E. 
The Green Team shall select Township volunteers to work on Green Team projects.
F. 
The Green Team shall periodically submit reports and minutes to the Township Committee.
There shall be not fewer than six meetings a year. The Chair shall preside at all meetings of the Green Team.
