Section 710.580 Destruction or Damage to System a Violation.

No unauthorized person shall maliciously, willfully, or negligently break, damage, destroy, uncover, deface, or tamper with any structure, appurtenance, or equipment which is part of the sewage works. Any person violating this provision shall be subject to immediate arrest.

Section 710.590 Range of Punishment — Each Day Separate Offense.

Any person found guilty of violating any Section of this Chapter shall upon conviction be subject to a penalty as set forth in Section 100.220 of this Code. Each day in which any such violation continues shall be deemed a separate offense.

Section 710.600 Liability to City.

Any person violating any of the Sections of this Chapter shall become liable to the City for any expense, loss, or damage occasioned the City by reason of such violation, including reasonable attorney fees and court costs.

Section 710.610 Stop Order.

Any person taking any action considered adverse to the City sewer system by the Superintendent is subject to a stop order issued by the City. Any person violating the stop order is subject to the penalties set forth herein. In addition, the connection to the City sewer collection system may be terminated until all provisions of this Chapter have been completed.

Section 710.620 Suspension of Business License.

Any person that holds a business license in the City shall have his/her license suspended immediately by the City Clerk until the next regular meeting whenever the second (2nd), or additional, citations have been issued to said individual holding the business license. The Board of Aldermen shall take actions at said meeting regarding said business license and set a hearing date at that time, if necessary.
