A Planning Commission consisting of three members is hereby created and established for the Borough of New Eagle, Washington County, Pennsylvania, pursuant to the provisions of Article II, Section 201, of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, as established by the Act of July 31, 1968, P.L. 805, No. 247, as amended and reenacted.

The Planning Commission shall be comprised of three members, who shall be appointed for terms of office of four years, except that the terms of office for the original members shall be fixed so that, on a commission of eight members or less no more than two shall be reappointed during any future calendar year, and on commissions of nine members, no more than three shall be so reappointed or replaced. In the event of vacancies, the governing body shall appoint a member to fill the unexpired term.
The Planning Commission shall have all the powers and duties conferred and imposed upon it as set forth in the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, established by the Act of July 31, 1968, P.L. 805, No. 247, as amended and reenacted.
