All prospective employees shall answer a questionnaire on making an application for employment disclosing whether they have made a previous application with the Village, where they have been employed, whether they are citizens of the United States or lawful immigrants, whether they are working full time or part time, whether they have been convicted of a felony in the last seven years, what their special skills are, what their educational achievements are, whether they are proficient in any foreign language, and that they consent to a physical examination to determine that they can discharge the duties connected to the position for which they are applying, and that they consent to an alcohol and controlled substance test on making an application and that they consent to an alcohol and controlled substance test following any work-related accident during their employment.
All current employees of the Village shall consent to an alcohol and controlled substance test immediately following any work-related accident while an employee of the Village, except accidents that result in injury requiring no care beyond first aid and where no property damage occurs. Random testing of current employees shall be required at the option of the Village but only on probable cause.
