As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
A parcel of real estate, owned or leased by the Village of
Granville, Putnam County, IL, primarily intended for the public use
for purposes of rest, relaxation, exercise and amusement and use as
athletic fields, baseball diamonds, tennis courts, picnic areas and
other related uses.

It shall be unlawful for any person to use or occupy or be present
in any park 30 minutes after sunset of any day and before sunrise
of any day, except where a special permit had been previously approved
by the Village Board of Trustees.
A.
It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any motorized vehicle
or any foot-propelled vehicle, such as a bicycle, unicycle, skateboard
or roller skates, within the confines of any park shelter, baseball
field, tennis court, basketball court, volleyball court, and in the
areas of the playground equipment.
B.
It shall be unlawful for any person to possess a container made of
glass within the confines of any park.
C.
It shall be unlawful for any person to bring a dog or cat or any
other domestic animal within the confines of any park.
D.
It shall be unlawful for any person to use water fountains for any
purpose other than drawing water from the fountain for drinking.
E.
It shall be unlawful for any person to use any rest room facility
for any purpose other than serving the needs of bodily functions or
to use a rest room as a play area or recreation area.
F.
It shall be unlawful for any person to leave waste within the confines
of any park. Any waste shall be deposited in containers located within
the park or shall be removed from the park premises by the person
using such material.
G.
It shall be unlawful for any person to consume an alcoholic beverage
within the confines of any park unless the consumption of alcohol
is in conjunction with an organizational function or family gathering
with park reservations.
Persons desiring reservations for park shelters located in any
park operated by the Village shall make application for such reservation
with the Clerk, who shall keep a record of reservations made. In making
a reservation, the person making the application shall state the number
of persons anticipated in being with the group for which the reservation
is made. Every reservation is a confirmed reservation and will be
held for the benefit of the person making the application for the
reservation. Any person or group making a reservation shall be responsible
for returning the area reserved to a clean condition at the end of
its use of the reserved area. Additionally, any persons having a reservation
shall lock rest rooms at the close of their event.
