Every operator of a vehicle approaching an intersection at which an official traffic control device is erected in accordance with this chapter shall obey the direction of such official traffic control device as required by the Wisconsin Statutes incorporated by reference in §
451-1 of this chapter. Operators of vehicles approaching a stop sign shall stop before entering a highway as required by § 346.46, Wis. Stats. Operators approaching intersections at which a yield sign has been installed shall yield the right-of-way to other vehicles as required by § 346.18(6), Wis. Stats.
The following streets are designated as through streets for
traffic regulation purposes:
A. Dearborn Street from its intersection with LaSalle Street west to
Oak Street is designated as a through street and traffic on South
Chestnut Street and South Madison Street shall yield the right-of-way
to traffic on Dearborn Street.
B. Roberts Street is designated as a through street at its intersection
with South Madison Street and South Chestnut Street and traffic on
South Chestnut Street and South Madison Street shall yield the right-of-way
to traffic on Roberts Street.
C. Traffic on Roberts Street shall yield the right-of-way to traffic
on South Pearl Street.
D. Louisa Street is designated as a through street at its intersection
with South Chestnut Street and traffic on South Chestnut Street shall
yield the right-of-way to traffic on Louisa Street.
E. Traffic on Louisa Street shall yield the right-of-way to traffic
on South Madison Street and South Pearl Street.
F. Buse Street is designated as a through street and traffic on South
Pearl Street and South Chestnut Street shall stop prior to entering
Buse Street.
