A. 
The following are the terms and conditions of employment of the Village of Soldiers Grove employees.
B. 
Terms of this contract shall be reviewed annually at the December Board meeting.
The rates of pay shall be reviewed annually, at the November Board meeting. Overtime will be time and 1/2, paid on anything over 40 hours per week. No overtime will be paid for holiday, sick leave, vacation or funeral leave.
A. 
The daily work period will be from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a one-half-hour lunch break, and two 15 minute breaks during the day.
(1) 
The Clerk-Treasurer's hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with overtime for Board meetings.
(2) 
The Director of Public Works will be required to work 42 hours per week. This includes checking the sewer and water plants on weekends.
B. 
Emergency overtime hours shall be recommended by the Director of Public Works, subject to approval by the Village President.
All Village employees shall be paid an expense allowance equal to the federal mileage rate, which will vary annually, for the necessary use of their personal automobiles while on official Village business outside of the Village limits. If the absence requires an overnight stay, they shall be reimbursed for the cost of lodging and meals upon presentation of receipts showing payment thereof.
A. 
Holidays paid are as follows: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Day.
B. 
In the event any holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the nearest workday shall be the holiday.
A. 
Regular full-time employees shall accumulate sick leave at the rate of one day (eight hours) per full month of active employment, with a maximum accumulation of 90 working days (720 hours). Pay during sick leave shall be 100% of the regular rate. A physician's certification must be submitted after three consecutive days of illness in order to have sick leave benefits granted and paid. Upon termination, retirement, forced retirement due to disability, or in the event of death, the employee or his estate shall receive pay for 1/2 the accumulated unused sick leave as a separation benefit.
B. 
Part-time employees shall receive two sick days per year.
Employees shall have funeral leave with pay as follows:
A. 
A three-day leave, with pay, for the funeral of an employee's mother, father, son, daughter, spouse, domestic partner, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren, step-parents, step-children, step-brothers, step-sisters and step-grandparents.
B. 
A one-day leave for an aunt, uncle, niece, nephew or a co-worker.
Any employee subpoenaed for jury duty or as a witness shall be paid the difference between his/her regular earnings and his/her jury duty or witness fee, excluding mileage, for such time spent on jury duty or as a witness.

B. 
Regular part-time employees working more than six months out of the year shall be granted 40 hours of vacation per year, after their one-year anniversary.
Regular full-time employees shall be granted two personal days a year, and part-time employees shall be granted three personal days a year.
Any Village employee may request time off without pay or penalty, provided the Village President is contacted in advance.
Employees shall pay 12.5% towards the health insurance provided; the remaining 87.5% to be paid by the Village of Soldiers Grove.
Employees are requested to give two weeks' notice of termination of employment.
A. 
The Village of Soldiers Grove employees participate in a retirement program as provided for by Wisconsin statutes and governed by Wisconsin statutes and the Wisconsin Retirement Board.
B. 
The Village agrees to pay to the Wisconsin Retirement Fund, on behalf of the employee, the employee's full contribution required by law. The employee will have withheld from his/her pay, his/her required percentage, with the Village contributing the remainder.

No Village employee shall incur charges or authorize expenditures on behalf of the Village in an amount exceeding $500 each without the prior approval of the Village President.

All employees shall obtain prior approval from the Village President, or in his or her absence, the Village Clerk, for permission to use annual leave/vacation or personal days.
