The boundaries of all zone districts set forth in this chapter shall be shown on a map bearing date of adoption. Said map shall be filed in the office of the Town Clerk and shall hereafter be "The Official Zoning Map" for the Town. Such map and any explanatory matter thereon, or amendments thereto, is hereby adopted and made a part of this chapter.[1]
Editor's Note: The map is on file in the Town offices.
Where uncertainty exists with respect to the boundaries of the various districts as shown on the Zoning Map, the following rules shall apply:
The district boundaries are lot lines unless otherwise shown, and where the designation of the Zoning Map indicates a boundary approximately upon a lot line, such lot line shall be construed to be the boundary.
Distances shown on the Zoning Map are perpendicular distances from the street lines measured back to the zone boundary line, which lines, in all cases where distances are given, are parallel to the street line.
In other cases, the boundary line shall be determined by use of the scale of the Zoning Map.
In case of uncertainty as to the true location of a zoning district boundary line in a particular instance, the Zoning Officer shall request the Zoning Board of Appeals to render a determination with respect thereto.
Where a lot in one ownership is divided into two or more districts, the regulations for any one district may be extended into the other district or districts for a distance of 50 feet from the boundary line separating such districts.
