No hair braiding or nail salon shall be operated in the Township without the operator thereof having first obtained a license from the Division of Licensing, Department of Revenue and Finance.

The fee for the license under this article shall be $458 for an initial license and $139 per year thereafter.

Establishments regulated by this article shall be open to the Department of Health for inspection at any time.

Establishments that are the subject of this article shall be governed by any state and local sanitary regulations relevant to their operations.
The hour for opening of the establishments in this article shall be 8:00 a.m. and the hour for closing shall be 8:00 p.m.

A. 
Definitions. As used in this section, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
NAIL SALON
A nail salon shall include any establishment whose primary business is providing manicures, pedicures or other fingernail and/or toenail cosmetic treatment.
B. 
Location. Within the confines of the Township of Irvington, no nail salon shall be located within 500 feet of an existing nail salon business. The distance between nail salon businesses shall be measured from the nearest entrance of the existing nail salon to the newest entrance of the proposed new nail salon business, along the route that a pedestrian would normally walk.

As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
RETAIL BEAUTY ESTABLISHMENT
Includes any establishment whose primary business is to provide beauty supplies sold at retail.
Within the confines of the Township of Irvington, no retail beauty supply establishment shall be located within 500 feet of an existing retail beauty supply establishment. The distance between retail beauty supply establishments shall be measured from the nearest entrance of the existing retail beauty supply establishment to the newest entrance of the proposed new retail beauty supply establishment, along the route that a pedestrian would normally walk.
