Prior to the commencement of any action by the Township that
may result in a tax sale, lien sale and/or the assessment of a property
for foreclosure proceedings, the Director of Revenue and Finance shall
notify the property owner, by certified mail, of his/her options to
prevent said tax sale, lien sale and/or assessment of a property for
foreclosure proceedings from commencing. Said options may include,
but shall not be limited to, partial payment tax agreements, deeding
the property over to the Township in lieu of back taxes owned, or
any other measure allowable by local ordinance or state statute.
