The office of Deputy Municipal Clerk is hereby established pursuant
to the authority of N.J.S.A. 40A:9-135(a).
The Deputy Municipal Clerk shall be appointed by the Mayor subject
to the advice and consent of the Borough Council and shall serve for
the term of one year from the date of appointment. The Deputy Municipal
Clerk need not be a resident of the Borough of Palmyra.
The Deputy Municipal Clerk shall during the absence or disability
of the Municipal Clerk have all the powers of the Municipal Clerk
and shall perform the functions and duties of such office.
The salary, working hours and schedule of the Deputy Municipal
Clerk shall be fixed by the governing body.
