A planning commission, to be officially known as the "Planning
Commission of the City of Lock Haven," is hereby established and created.
The purposes and the function of said Planning Commission shall
be to protect and promote the safety, health and the morals of the
citizens of the City of Lock Haven; to guide use of land and structures,
type and location of streets, public grounds and other facilities
and to accomplish the other purposes set forth in the Pennsylvania
Municipalities Planning Code.

The Planning Commission of the City of Lock Haven shall consist
of seven members, all of whom shall serve without compensation; who
shall be appointed by the Council of the City of Lock Haven, and whose
terms shall be for a period of four years or until their successors
are appointed and qualified; except that all terms of the members
first appointed pursuant to this article, or appointed by virtue of
any amendment hereto, shall be so fixed that no more than three shall
be reappointed or replaced during any future calendar year.
Powers and duties of the Planning Commission of the City of
Lock Haven shall be as set forth in the Pennsylvania Municipalities
Planning Code, as from time to time amended, and the administration
of said Commission shall be governed by the terms of the Pennsylvania
Municipalities Planning Code.
