The Fire Department Advisory Board shall serve as liaison between
the City and the Fire Department in matters relating to the operation
and control of the Fire Department and shall have authority to make
recommendations to the City concerning the same. The Advisory Board
shall also function as a problem solving, dispute settling panel concerned
with Fire Department matters and shall have such other powers and
duties as the City may deem necessary.
It shall be the duty of every firefighter, immediately upon
an alarm of an incident, to accompany the firefighter's apparatus
to or respond to the location of the incident and perform such duties
as may be required of the firefighter by the superior officer.
The Fire Administrator shall be responsible to the Director
of Public Safety for the administration, direction and supervision
of City fire services and its City employees as provided by statute,
the City's Administrative Code, or other ordinance of the City and
such other duties as may be required by the Manager which are not
in conflict with law or ordinances.
