§ 375-8 Through highways.

The following highways are established as through highways, and stop signs shall be erected at every intersection with any through highway, facing traffic approaching the through highway on all intersecting streets. Every driver of a vehicle approaching a through highway on any intersecting street shall stop the vehicle as required by Section 3323(b) of the Vehicle Code and shall not proceed into or cross the through highway until he has followed the requirements of that section of the law:

Any person who violates any provision of this section shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $25 and costs of prosecution.

§ 375-9 Stop intersections.

The following intersections are established as stop intersections, in addition to provisions in § 375-8, and official stop signs shall be erected (or are ratified if previously erected) in such a position as to face traffic approaching the second-named street upon the first-named street in the direction or directions indicated for that intersection. Every driver of a vehicle approaching the intersection upon the first-named street, in the direction indicated in each case, shall stop the vehicle as required by Section 3323(b) of the Vehicle Code and shall not proceed into or across the second-named street until he has followed the applicable requirements of the law:

§ 375-10 One-way roadways.

The following are established as one-way roadways, and it shall be unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle upon a one-way roadway other than in the direction established for traffic upon that roadway:

Any person who violates any provision of this section shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $25 and costs of prosecution.

§ 375-11 Certain streets restricted to passenger vehicles.

All streets and alleys in the Borough, except Church Street, College Avenue, Constitution Avenue, East Street, Hanover Street, Jackson Street, Main Street, Railroad Street, Roth's Church Road, Water Street and York Street, are set aside for the use of passenger vehicles only (including private passenger vehicles, taxicabs, pickup trucks and recreational vehicles, but not including any passenger or pickup truck vehicles towing a trailer), and no person shall drive any vehicle other than vehicles as described above on any street or alley in the Borough except Church Street, College Avenue, Constitution Avenue, East Street, Hanover Street, Jackson Street, Main Street, Railroad Street, Roths Church Road, Water Street and York Street, except that nothing in this section shall prohibit the operation of any motor vehicle, truck and/or trailer, within the maximum weight limits prescribed by law, upon any street or alley in the Borough for the purpose of making local delivery or pickup of goods, wares or merchandise where delivery or pickup, as the case may be, cannot be made solely by use of Church Street, College Avenue, Constitution Avenue, East Street, Hanover Street, Jackson Street, Main Street, Railroad Street, Roths Church Road, Water Street and/or York Street.

Any person who violates any provision of this section shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $50 and costs of prosecution.

§ 375-12 Speed limits on portions of streets.

Maximum speed limits are established on portions of specified streets as follows, and it shall be unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle, on any part of a street or alley where the maximum speed limit applies, at a higher speed than the maximum prescribed for that part of the street or alley:

Any person who violates any provision of this section shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $35. Any person exceeding the maximum speed limit by more than five miles per hour shall pay an additional fine of $2 per mile for each mile in excess of five miles per hour over the maximum speed limit.[1]
